Meridian Home Care believes in giving back to our community and is proud to support great causes by participating in health care fundraisers. Here's what we've been up to:
2nd Place in the Sharp Hospice Care Regatta
Meridian Home Care recently participated in the Sharp Hospice Care Regatta on August 23rd and came in 2nd place! The proceeds from this event benefited Sharp Hospice Care's Homes for Hospice Campaign, an initiative to build residential hospice homes in San Diego County. Bruce Gorder UCSD 5K Walk for Melanoma
On Oct. 11, 2014, Meridian Home Care will participate in the 21st Annual Bruce Gorder UCSD 5K Walk for Melanoma. This annual fall event helps build the public's awareness of the importance of prevention and early detection of melanoma. The walk begins and ends at Moores Cancer Center and includes free skin cancer screenings for registered participants. This walk raises funds to directly support melanoma research at the Moores Cancer Center and has raised more than $1.1 million to date.
